About Us

Our Story

Killian’s Beef Ranch is built on a foundation of heritage, hard work, and love for the land.

Over 100 years ago, our ancestors immigrated from Ireland with a dream — to build a life from the soil beneath their feet. They settled on the original Killian farm in Fort Edward, New York, where the spirit of farming began to take root.

Just a few miles south, the family expanded to a farm in Moreau, where they raised 12 children and generations of cattle. What started as a dairy and beef operation became a way of life — one centered on faith, family, and an unwavering respect for the land.

Today, as third-generation farmers, we continue that legacy on the very same soil. We’ve evolved to meet the times, shifting from wholesale to farm-to-table beef, while expanding our vision to include wellness retreats, farm tours, and educational field trips — always with a deep sense of gratitude for those who came before us.

This is more than a farm. It’s our family’s story — still unfolding, still grounded in the values that started it all.

Liv

Hi, my name is Alivia Killian and I am the 3rd generation here on our beef farm. I currently study Animal Science with a Minor in Livestock at SUNY Cobleskill as I take classes on how to slaughter, market meat, and take care of the animal itself. I was born into the dairy industry as a kid; that I still show a huge love and appreciation for that specific industry. We slowly transitioned into beef after 2014. I work along side my father in our hay and beef business while my mother does her own practices right on the property that you can look into further on her personal website. I am an up and coming passionate younger generation farmer looking to deliver delicious and quality meat to my local community and counties in my area once I graduate college. I am currently employed and have an off farm job at the Painted Pony Rodeo grounds in Lake Luzerne, NY.

Brock

Brock is a senior in high school, graduating with the Class of 2025. This fall, he plans to attend SUNY Cortland to study Business Economics, combining his passion for finance and strategic planning with his deep-rooted connection to the family ranch. A dedicated three-season athlete, Brock competes in football, lacrosse, and basketball—and enjoys playing golf in his free time. While he’s gained hands-on experience in many aspects of ranch life, Brock excels in big-picture thinking. His goal is to bring financial insight and structured planning to support the long-term sustainability and growth of the farm business.
